Package Design, Print Advertising, Brand Identity & Marketing, and the every now and then, "Hey,,, can you just whip up something quick that looks good for us?"

Currently, I am the Sr. Graphic Designer at MeadWestvaco's Center of Innovative Packaging. I manage and run a in-house graphic design department supporting a team of industrial designers along with a global marketing and sales staff. The designers at MWV's Center of Innovative Packaging create new and innovative ideas that you might just see on a store shelf one day. And in order to get a package concept on that store shelf, they need to be developed, pitched and then hopefully sold to manufacture.

Most people are visual people. They have a hard time grasping an idea when it's more or less just a white box or carton placed in front of them (which is totally understandable). So this is where I come in. I dress and decorate these concepts with either a new graphic design or the customer's branding to help bring the idea to life. At times, I am able to add graphical elements or even revise the existing client's artwork in order to help communicate and accentuate a component of the concept that is different than others. Using a high-res digital printer, I am able take these graphics and create mock-up samples that look just like the real thing, if not better.

I freelance on the side whenever the opportunity is there. And also enjoy taking the camera and seeing what I can find.
